Run by Marcos Anastácio, a former portuguese surf champion, Portugal Surf Rentals allows you to easily hire high-quality surfboards online and gets them hand-delivered to you at a place of your choosing – airport, hotel, beach… you name it.
The best surfboard brands and surf addons at fair rates plus invaluable advise (if you want it) about ocean conditions, where to find the best waves of the day and much more – ingredients that will combine for a memorable surfing experience in Portugal, regardless of your surfing level. This is what PSR is all about!
You can find us at Carcavelos beach, the closest to Lisbon, but we are an online surf rentals service. Thus, for bookings this website is the way to go. Just book a board and select where you want us to deliver it. Our customer service is friendly and very fast, always just a call or email away. 1995 >> Surf Champion
Marcos becomes Portuguese surf champion and vice-european surf champion at Eurosurf, helping Portugal to secure the runner-up position as well.
2002 >> Angels Surf School
The surf industry was taking off. Marcos looked ahead and founded Angels Surf School in Carcavelos, one of the first in Portugal, just next to Lisbon.
2014 >> Portugal Surf Rentals
Foreign tourists often visit the surf school asking for a board, thus Marcos founded Portugal Surf Rentals to provide them with top quality surfboards.

Book a board
How it works
- Browse our surfboards catalogue, choose a board and addons (if you need them), add to the cart, fill in the delivery details (date, time and location) and other required info and place your order.
- Get the order confirmation details by email and wait for us to reach out – on most occasions, a couple of hours are all we need to answer.
- Meet us to collect your board as agreed, pay on delivery and go get Portugal’s amazing waves. Ask us where’re the best spots of the day and other surf info.
- Once the rental period is over, return the surfboard at the agreed place and time – we’ll meet you there to collect it and say “goodbye, hope to see you again”.
